The St. Joseph Maverick Athletic Program participates in the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) athletic program against other Catholic Parishes and Catholic Academies throughout the Archdiocese of Detroit. Registered members of the parish and students of St. Joseph School, are invited to participate in the athletic program. The mission of the St. Joseph School Athletics Program is to build Christian character through participation in organized sports programs, and to develop well-rounded individuals who realize the importance of combining spirituality, academics, and athletics. 

Members of Christ the Redeemer, St. Joseph, and St. John Fisher parishes, who are in the 3rd through 8th grades are also invited to participate in the St. Joseph Athletic Program for all CYO Sports offered here at St. Joseph.
